The Budget money changes that come into effect in January for social welfare recipients and workers

Social Welfare Income Tax Minimum Wage Electricity

Thousands of people in receipt of social welfare are expected to begin receiving up to €624 in social welfare payment boosts from January 2023.

There will also be proportional increases for those on reduced rates of payment, and qualified adults.

The Department of Social Protection budget allocation is €23.4 billion in 2023.
