The Breakfast Club star Molly Ringwald 'hasn't aged' decades after her iconic films

Molly Ringwald has been met with compliments from fans over a series of photos from a recent trip abroad, which prompted some to reference one of her biggest roles.

The actor, now 55, rose to prominence through her roles in a trio of projects by filmmaker John Hughes that were released in the 1980s, starting with Sixteen Candles (1984).

She played Samantha Baker in the film, before reuniting with John to play Claire Standish in The Breakfast Club (1985) and later portraying Andie Walsh in Pretty in Pink (1986).

Molly has continued to act in the decades since, including in TV shows like Riverdale and Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, but remains beloved by fans for her 1980s roles.

This was evident on social media recently, with fans having reminisced about the past and referenced one of her most iconic films in response to some photos she shared.

She's been enjoying a vacation in France this month, having shared photos from the trip on Instagram, including posting some just a few days ago about having visited Paris.

Molly wrote alongside her post: "What a delight to visit my old hood in such a sweet (literally) way! Thank you Frank [Barron] for the beautiful deconstructed Pavlova".

The post included various photos, including some showing flowers. Among those featuring the actor was a photo that showed Molly posing whilst stood on a balcony in the city.

She was seen holding a bunch of flowers in another photo whilst wearing a pink blazer and sported the same look in a photo in which she was sat beside baker Frank.

The photos prompted references to her iconic film Pretty in Pink from some of her followers in the comments, including one person who wrote: "You're still pretty in pink".

Others agreed, including one fan who said: "Forever Pretty in pink". Whilst another responded: "You are as beautiful as ever." A fourth said: "Still so flawlessly gorgeous."

Another photo that she shared earlier in the week prompted similar compliments, with it having shown her posing in a cream hat whilst wearing a white blouse and top.

One person reacted: "[You're] aging backwards I swear." Another follower said: "You never age. You look fabulous." Whilst a third person said at the time: "You're so beautiful".

Another person reacted: "You barely look like you've aged". Whilst another fan said about Molly in the comments section: "She's flawless". Another said: "Gorgeous as ever."

She has since posted about visiting the Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) museum in the city and had previously suggested that she was enjoying taking in the sights in the capital.
