The Boys season 5 is currently in full swing as we prepare to say goodbye to Prime Video's beloved superhero season. It's clear the stakes have never been higher either as we've already had some big deaths in just the first three episodes (RIP A-Train). It seems like more are on their way too, according to Billy Butcher star Karl Urban.
At an event for the new season in Australia, Urban was recently quizzed by 7Bravo Australia over if there's one moment that he can't wait to see the reception of this year. His reply was very telling as he shared a big tease for what's to come.
"You have to go with the finale but it comes with a warning," the Butcher star replied. "Watch out, there's some big hits coming along the way, particularly episodes seven and eight". He went on to add: "There's major characters that don't even make it to the end credits of seven, let alone before we even get into eight. Watch out. Just get ready."
Showrunner Eric Kripke has been promising that the final season will have some big casualties from the get-go too.
Speaking to SFX magazine previously, he said: "It's a battle, and there are going to be casualties. It would be unrealistic not to. It bums me out when you have a big, epic sci-fi show, and then at the end, it's like, 'Oh, everyone's fine.' I keep yelling at the screen, 'Things cost things, you can't just get away with this!' So yes, I wouldn't get too attached to any single character."
