While there are many great Easter activities and events taking place across Wales, read our handy guide here, sometimes nothing beats a classic Easter egg hunt. And for Easter 2022, stunning country houses, castles and estates are just some of the places that have been transformed into a hunting ground to find chocolate treats.
From the National Trust to castles to railways and bridges many places are holding their own Easter egg hunt that your family will love. Here we take a look at some of the options. National Trust
Across Wales many different National Trust sites are holding Easter egg hunts, for an extra cost of £3 per child. The sites include Bodnant Garden in Conwy, Powis Castle and Garden in Welshpool, and Tredegar House in Newport.
Mumbles Pier
Mumbles Pier is holding a whole host of Easter activities across the Easter school holidays including an Easter egg hunt. The activity is free to take part in and you can collect your entry sheet from the Amusements and find all 12 eggs. The activities are running from Saturday, April, 9 to Sunday, April, 24.
Gower Fresh Farm
Another Gower venue holding an Easter egg hunt is Gower Fresh Farm, known for their Christmas trees. The Easter egg hunt is part of the Great Easter Eggstravaganza which includes meeting characters from Alice in Wonderland, meeting the Easter bunny and a kids' party.
Tickets cost £1 for adults and £9.95 for children and the Great Easter Eggstravaganza will run from Monday, April, 11 to Monday, April, 18. You can read more about the event here.
Amelia Trust Farm
Also holding a big Easter event with an Easter egg hunt is Amelia Trust Farm in Barry. From Monday, April, 11 to Thursday, April, 14 there will be face painting, tractor rides, lawn games, and the Easter egg hunt at the farm. Tickets cost £7.50 for children and £4.50 for adults.
Caerphilly Castle
For the cost of standard admission to Caerphilly Castle, you will get some extra Easter treats including an Easter egg hunt. The Easter egg hunt will take place at Caerphilly Castle from Friday, April, 15 to Monday, April, 18.
Standard admission to the castle is £10.10 for adults, £7.10 for children, and £33.30 for a family ticket of up to two adults and three children.
Tretower Court and Castle
At Tretower Court and Castle, Rhys Rabbit has left out an Easter egg hunt for you and your family. Standard castle admissions apply and the Easter egg hunt will run from Saturday, April, 16 to Monday, April, 18.
Standard admission to the castle is £8.30 for adults, £5.80 for children, and £27.40 for a family ticket of up to two adults and three children.
Plas Mawr
Plas Mawr is running an Easter egg hunt on Sunday, April, 17 where you have to find all the missing Easter eggs and complete the puzzle to win a prize. Standard admission is £8.30 for adults, £5.80 for children, and £27.40 for a family ticket of up to two adults and three children.
Bryngarw Country Park
Bryngarw Country Park in Bridgend is hiding hundreds of chocolate eggs in their park on Saturday, April, 16, and Sunday, April, 17. Tickets cost £9.50 for children and adults and babies go free.
Newport Transporter Bridge
As part of a whole host of activities Newport Transporter Bridge is running an Easter egg hunt from Saturday, April, 16 to Monday, April, 18. Tickets start at £3.83.
Llanberis Lake Railway
Llanberis Lake Railway in Caernarfon is holding an Easter egg hunt with the Easter eggs hidden around the railway and stations. This Easter egg hunt is running from Wednesday, April, 6 to Monday, April, 18. For more What's On news you can sign up to our newsletter here.
