The big change coming for charging devices on planes

Charging phones and laptops from power banks on flights will soon be barred by major airlines, while strict rules will be in place about the types of devices even allowed on board.

Virgin Australia will roll out the changes on Monday, while Qantas, Jetstar and QantasLink passengers must stop using the portable battery-powered chargers on planes from December 15.
