The Big Breakfast returns this Saturday and promises to recreate the "memorable chaos" of 1990's morning television
AJ Odudu and Mo Gilligan want to revive the "crazy anarchy" of their predecessors, hosting "the most raucous start to the day".
Former presenters included Gaby Roslin, Paula Yates, Mark Lamarr and Denise Van Outen – with Denise appearing as a guest on their first show, assuring AJ the Big Breakfast was the "best ever to work on".
The latest format, which originally aired from 1992 to 2002, is here for the summer.
Newsreader Phil Gayle hopes to continue his tradition of innuendo-ridden headlines – and will not risk a heavy Friday night on the tiles.
He recalled: "There was an incident where my editor at ITN asked, 'You were out last night, were you?' I said, 'I might have been. Why?' He replied, 'Because you were a bit c**p'."
The show is also set to feature Loose Women 's Judi Love as well as Melvin Odoom and Harriet Rose. Roving reporter Melvin took it in a day’s work when asked to dress up as a dragon for filming in Wales, insisting: "It was nothing."
