CIPA (Camera & Imaging Products Association) has released the annual camera and lens production and shipment performance table for January to December 2024. The data includes production and total shipment data for the year, so let's take a look at the total shipment data as well.
Looking at the total worldwide shipments, we can see that digital cameras shipped a total of about 8.49 million units. Interchangeable lens cameras shipped about 6.6 million units. And lenses shipped about 10.31 million units.
