Manchester United supporters are struggling to adapt to life without Cristiano Ronaldo after he broke another goalscoring record. The Red Devils cut ties with the Portuguese superstar during the week after his explosive interview with Piers Morgan.
United issued a statement on Tuesday evening announcing they had reached a mutual agreement with the player to terminate his contract. The forward says he now has full focus on the World Cup with Portugal, although fans are eager to see where he ends up next.

Ronaldo won a penalty in the second half of the tie and then stepped up to dispatch the spot kick high into the top left corner, just out of the goalkeeper's reach. At 37, his strike makes him the first player to score at five separate World Cups.

Some took to social media to admit he “will always be” one of their favourite Manchester United players despite his controversial exit.
