Rob Page says Gareth Bale's free-kick against Austria is the best he's ever seen.
The Real Madrid ace struck gold from 20 yards out in the first half before netting a second goal shortly after half-time to put Wales in dreamland. Marcel Sabitzer's deflected effort gave the visitors hope at Cardiff City Stadium.
But the Red Dragons held on to book their place in the World Cup play-off final in June. You can read about what happens now here. And Page says the Red Wall played a pivotal role in getting his side through a gruelling semi-final contest against Austria.
"I don't think it's sunk in properly yet. What a game, what a night. The star man turns up, and I've just said to him, 'that's the best free-kick I've seen in my life'," Page said.
"A deflected goal against us makes it an anxious last half an hour, but, to a man, I thought they were outstanding. They thoroughly deserve all of the plaudits they're going to get, those players. They're an unbelievable group of men.
"We're a cup final away now. There was no talk of the importance of the game. They know what it is. We prepared like any other game, and it was all about Austria. They are a very good team. Our supporters got us through it. A million per cent. When they were singing the anthem in the 85th minute, that gets you through it. It gets you across the line."
Wales will face either Scotland or Ukraine in the play-off final. The contest in Cardiff will take place in June.
