The best gigs and club nights to book in London this week

Top Pick: The Dare

Heaven, November 20, dice.fm

Famous for his constant uniform of black suits and sunglasses (as well as his work on Charli XCX’s viral Guess remix with Billie Eilish), The Dare couldn’t be any hotter right now. This gig is the one your friends will all realise they wish they’d gone to when it’s four months too late. Join Dice’s waitlist for ultimate bragging rights.

MRCY

Jazz Cafe, November 14, thejazzcafe.com

Rising soul duo MRCY, seen at the top of this page, have been described as a mish-mash vibe that sits somewhere between Marvin Gaye and Anderson .Paak. I can’t think of a better endorsement. Their show at the Jazz Cafe tonight appears to be the hot ticket in London this week, so you’ll have to join the waitlist and hope for the best.

Feet

The Dome, November 14,domelondon.co.uk

Indie rock five-piece Feet have been steadily building clout over the past eight years since forming at Coventry University in 2016. Now, the Britpop renaissance is finally giving them the recognition they deserve. They’ll be raising the roof of Tuffnell Park’s the Dome tonight for anyone fancying a bit of a head-bob and boogie.

Arthi Hard

Colour Factory, November 15, colourfactory.com

Hugely exciting DJ (and former Sky News correspondent) Arthi Nachiappan, above, is bringing back her Arthi Hard party series this week, hosted at Colour Factory in Hackney Wick. Expect UK funky, garage, some banging remixes and immaculate vibes. Keep an ear out for her new track with Razor, too — it goes hard.

Role Model

Brixton Academy, November 15, academymusicgroup.com

While many discovered Tucker Pillsbury (yes, his real name) via his highly publicised and now defunct relationship with YouTuber Emma Chamberlain, Role Model is much more than just an influencer’s boyfriend. This is a pop king in the making. Anyone missing the musical stylings of Harry Styles should pay attention.

Ezra Collective

OVO Arena Wembley, November 15, ovoarena.co.uk

Last year’s Mercury Prize-winning jazz group have gone from relative unknowns to booking arena shows in little over a year. If you need a break from early sunsets and winter gloom, seeing God Gave Me Feet for Dancing performed live this Friday might just save your soul.
