With Christmas less than two months away, holidaymakers are looking to get into the festive spirit to visit the best fantastic of seven European Christmas Market destinations, with the first flights due to take off in November.
Airlines such as Jet2, Ryanair, easyJet and British Airways are providing flights to the top Christmas Market destinations, like Basel, Budapest, Berlin and more. Due to Glasgow's Christmas Market organisers not returning in 2022, as reported by Glasgow Live in September, it is the perfect time to enjoy a different culture of festivity - without the fear of missing out in the city.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks said: “Our flights and city breaks to Europe’s most magical Christmas markets prove more and more popular every year, and we are seeing strong demand once again this year. With our first flights taking off next month to some of the best Christmas Market destinations, it is not too late to secure a festive getaway but make sure you act quick."
We've taken a look at some top destinations for fans of all things festive who just can't resist a wander around the market - and the cheapest flights leaving from Glasgow to get there.

Krakow, Poland
The Christmas market in Krakow takes place every year on the city’s huge central square, Rynek Glowny, in the middle of the Old Town historic district.
It’s hard to trace the origin of this long tradition because the square has always been the major venue for diverse trade, and the business naturally switched to Christmas-related merchandise with the approach of the festive season.

The Christmas markets in Old Town Square in the centre of Prague are the biggest project of its kind in the Czech Republic. Set in the very heart of the city is a traditional Czech marketplace, where, in dozens of wooden stalls, merchants offer typical Christmas goods.
