Marco Silva's claim that Benfica are set to field a team of fringe men against Celtic has been met with puzzlement in Portugal. The former Fulham boss has the Eagles soaring since returning to his homeland, but it appears he is unlikely to follow through on his vow to consider the B Team to take on Martin O'Neill's men. And that's because Benfica have no reason to call in the reserves because they are set to enjoy a free weekend after they take on the Hoops in Lisbon. Benfica, along with their fellow Liga Portugal sides who have qualified for Europe, will serve League Cup duty on either Saturday or Sunday.
