Production Accountant – BBC
The BBC is currently recruiting a Production Accountant to join the Production Accounting team, working within the production community to ensure production budgets are effectively managed and protecting value.
Duties within this role include:
- Providing effective financial control and management of budgets on productions.
- Ensuring the accurate provision of accruals and commitments are made throughout the production life cycle and preparing final accounts.
- Taking an active role in budgeting and forecasting contributing to the preparation of accurate and achievable month-end project forecasts.
- Preparing and revising a phased final cost forecast to support effective and timely budgetary decision-making and aid centralised cash flow forecasting and providing timely advice on the financial implications of on-going editorial changes.
- Playing a key role in cost management, monitoring and controlling expenditure against budget and ensuring this is reflected accurately and correctly on the system.
- Completing statutory and corporate financial returns for location spend items on behalf of the production and ensuring compliance and best practice across all activities.
The ideal candidate will be a production accountant, production manager or have relevant production and accounting experience with a strong track record in TV production. Proven cost management experience is also essential along with strong budgeting, forecasting and analysis experience.
Professional accountancy qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Production Buyer, Coronation Street – ITV
£46,444 per annum
ITV has an exciting opportunity for a Production Buyer to join the Coronation Street team to facilitate the day-to-day buying requirements of the Design Department.
Duties within the role include:
- Sourcing a wide range of props and dressings to suit characters and set designs and fulfil the requirements of the show.
- Working from character descriptions and moodboards to buy props that accurately describe the characters in the show.
- Liaise and arrange prop placements.
- Liaising with internal departments and external organisations/suppliers.
- Attend design meetings with directors and to offer creative input and solutions into these meetings.
- Supports the Construction Department in buying materials and bespoke one-off purchases.
- To support and develop and identify more sustainable working practices and approaches to buying.
The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months experience working in a production buyer role in TV drama. They will also have good knowledge of current trends and styles and a basic understanding of architectural and design periods.
A substantial amount of driving is required for this role as the successful candidate will be expected to collect and deliver props from multiple locations.

Software Engineers: Android and iOS: iPlayer Mobile – BBC
The BBC is looking for Software Engineers to join its iPlayer Mobile team to ensure the millions of daily iPlayer users receive an intuitive and engaging streaming experience.
Duties within this role include:
- Working closely with multi-disciplinary colleagues to break down product requirements into technical deliverables.
- Helping deliver the technical implementation of product features as part of a team.
- Ensuring engineering output is fit for purpose and thoroughly tested.
- Participating in the continuous improvement of the team through fast feedback loops.
- Participating in knowledge sharing both within the team and across iPlayer.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Android or iOS and an understanding of app architecture and design idioms. They will be proficient in Kotlin/Java or Swift/Objective-C and have an understanding of OOP, analysis and decoupled design.
Experience with Continuous Integration/Deployment in mobile apps would be advantageous, as would web services integration – REST, JSON – in a mobile environment.

Talent Payments Business Support Executive – ITV
£22,000 - £25,000 per annum
ITV is seeking a Talent Payments Business Support Executive to join its Finance team and be responsible for supporting Talent Payments processes for all primary and secondary/residual payments.
Duties within this role include:
- Performing updates in TalentPay for legal letters and Artist/Agent name changes.
- Maintaining bank details in TalentPay.
- Resolution of BACS rejection errors.
- Resolution of queries and issues relating to Talent Payments as first point of contact.
- Operating as an advisor to the business on the above matters.
- Working with Business Affairs to obtain guidance on legal matters as required.
- Perform SBA and VAT validation and recalculations.
The ideal candidate will have experience of using finance software – ideally Oracle or other integrated ERP software – and experience of a high-volume payment function. They will also have good knowledge of payment best-practice and of VAT accounting principles, HMRC regulations and Talent union agreements.

Business Affairs Assistant – BBC
The BBC Sport team is recruiting for an experienced Business Affairs Assistant to provide contract administration and team management services to the Sport Business Affairs team, to undertake contract negotiations, and to maintain effective relationships with external organisations and across the corporation.
Duties within this role include:
- Providing effective and efficient contract/legal/business affairs administration and team management support to the legal and business affairs team.
- Performing necessary department administration relating to contracts and business affairs documentation ensuring the maintenance of data integrity.
- Using ACON, Smartbook and other systems as required to manage up-to-date information and to produce contractual documentation.
- Being familiar with all relevant BBC business processes – including internal referral and approval frameworks – to help the business affairs team ensure rights and business affairs and contract management processes are followed.
- Acting as a point of contact and maintaining excellent relations with all external parties’ dealings, including dealing with all routine queries effectively and efficiently.
- Building and maintaining effective working relationships with BBC Group including Commissioning, Editorial Policy, Finance, BBC CRBA teams and BBC legal division to ensure maximum creative and business synergies.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of BBC rights policies and strategies and some understanding of rights issues relating to media activity. They will also have an understanding of programme making and deal making across both in-house and/or independent programmes.

Management Accountant – ITV
£30,000 - £40,000
ITV has a new opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join its Finance department to support a finance project.
Duties within this role include:
- Preparation of Royalty/Residuals balance sheet provision reconciliations.
- Preparing analysis of over and under provisions, reviewing causes and making recommendations for process improvements to the department heads as required.
- Acting as a liaison between the Talent and Royalties and Record to Report teams, investigating accounting discrepancies and recommending solutions.
- Supplementary analysis as required.
The ideal candidate will have sound understanding of the Programme Production industry, although this is not essential. Experience of working in a Royalties Accounting department would also be advantageous.
This is a six-month fixed-term contract.

Senior Research Scheduler – BBC
BBC is recruiting a Senior Research Scheduler for its Business Management and Administration department in Salford.
Duties within this role include:
- Working closely with a colleague to schedule and administer the operations team.
- Acting as a fleet management contact for operational vehicles, including booking of services, repairs, and maintaining relevant paperwork.
- Assisting the operational management team with administration tasks and bookings.
- Raising payments and purchase orders for freelance/casual staff and operational kit.
- Providing input into and scheduling the operational training plan.
The ideal candidate will have experience building rotas and using scheduling systems, making payments and purchase orders and will have a good knowledge of conditions of service/working time directive. They will also have strong IT skills and be comfortable using the WorkPlace scheduling system.
