DILLON PHILLIPS 6
Made a superb save to deny Diogo Jota early on. Not really much he could do about the goals. Decent showing.
PERRY NG 5
Guilty of a horrific error for Liverpool's second. A shame as he'd not done too badly up until that point. Subbed late on.
MARK MCGUINNESS 6
Turned inside out by Jota, who rose beyond the former Arsenal man for the opener. A harsh lesson for the Irishman.
ADEN FLINT 6
As above really. Did his best to cope with Liverpool's attacking talents with mixed success.
OLIVER DENHAM 6
A real baptism of fire. Turned by Jota early on, and that set the tone. Nothing too much to take issue with, overall.
JOEL BAGAN 7
Probably one of his best showings in a Cardiff shirt. Looked reasonably comfortable on the ball, but was turned in knots by Curtis Jones.
WILL VAULKS 7
Combative, although his foul did lead to Liverpool's opener. Mopped up well, but struggled to really find that link with the front two. Subbed.
MARLON PACK 7
As above really. Worked really hard in the middle, but was let down by his passing.
ELI KING 5
Played a couple of decent passes, but on the whole looked nervous in the middle, and gave the ball away a little too often. Subbed.
MARK HARRIS 7
Was at the heart of most that was good about Cardiff going forward. Held ball up well and made some terrific runs. Should have had a penalty. Subbed.
JAMES COLLINS 6
Threw himself about well, but the challenge of Virgil van Dijk and co proved too great. Can't really be blamed for that, but a quiet outing. Subbed.
