A bed and breakfast in Powys has been named as having the best breakfast offering in Wales. Peterstone Court outside Brecon has won the foodie award at the AA B&B Awards 2022.
Just four miles from Brecon, Peterstone Court is nestled comfortably in the leafy Brecon Beacons. The Grade II listed house is made up of a modest 12 bedrooms filled with Georgian heritage. The rooms are split across the grounds with eight found in the main house and four in the converted stables. The house boasts views of the countryside while the stables are ideal for dog lovers, cyclists, and walkers.
However, despite its luxury hospitality, it is the breakfast that has won Peterstone its accolade. The awards cover four categories and winners have been selected due to their outstanding customer service, culinary merits, and excellent hospitality.

And you don't have to be a guest at the B&B to experience the award-winning offering, with non-residents able to visit the restaurant. There are both continental offerings which start at £7.95 and a full menu offering at £13.95.
The full cooked Welsh breakfast consists of back bacon, sausage, black pudding, tomatoes, mushrooms and free range eggs cooked to order. There is also a vegetarian option available.

- Organic Scotch Porridge with Toasted Pecans and Skirrid Honey
