The Ayrshire Hospice Board has announced the permanent appointment of Tracy Flynn as Chief Executive Officer.
It follows the unanimous decision of members to confirm Ms. Flynn in the post following her performance during the previous 13 months as Interim CEO.
Tom Steele, Chair of the Hospice Board, said: “In her time in the role so far, Tracy has shown an unwavering commitment to our Hospice and has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills. Her strategic thinking, dedication, and vision have been a driving force behind our recent achievements.
“Tracy’s appointment brings stability and clarity to the organisation at a critical time and I am confident that the Ayrshire Hospice will continue to thrive and make a meaningful impact in the communities throughout Ayrshire and Arran.”
The Board has now launched the Ayrshire Hospice Strategic Plan for 2023 – 2026 which has been developed in co-production and co-design with staff, volunteers and stakeholders.
Speaking about the new strategy, Tracy said: “The Plan acknowledges the many pressures that Hospices face today in terms of financial sustainability, and attempts to provide solutions to these challenging external pressures by harnessing the inspirational work and dedication that all Ayrshire Hospice staff and volunteers provide.
"I look forward to working with the whole Hospice team to secure financial, organisational and environmental sustainability for the Ayrshire Hospice; while continuing to provide our exceptional care for people and their loved ones in our community.”
