As the cost of living crisis continues to put pressure on households across Edinburgh and the rest of the UK.
As reported by Sky News, fresh food prices saw a jump of 17.8 per cent year-on-year for April.
The price of tinned goods and other cupboard essentials have risen by 12.9 per cent.

These new figures have been released as the average price of food and non-alcoholic drinks saw its sharpest increase in more than 45 years.
Altogether, food prices increased by a record annual rate of 15.7 per cent in the month of April.
