One of the stars of the long-running BBC radio drama The Archers has said that the cast are “angry” about the BBC’s decision to abandon plans for a new studio in Birmingham.
It was announced last week that the BBC have nixed plans for a radio drama theatre at the BBC’s new Midlands headquarters in Digbeth, as part of wider cost-cutting measures that intend to save the corporation £500m in spending.
