The Apprentice semi-final came back with an almighty bang on Thursday as the remaining five contestants battled it out in brutal interviews to convince Lord Sugar's peers they were worth his £250,000 investment.
In the penultimate episode, the final five contestants were faced with Karren Brady, Claude Littner, Mike Soutar and Linda Plant poking holes in their business plans.
After a gruelling line of questioning, Dani Donovan, Megan Hornby, and Victoria Goulbourne were ultimately fired from the process after 11 weeks as Marnie and Rochelle are the two left standing at the end as they prepare to face off in their final task.
It is no secret that this BBC episode attracts huge viewing figures, as the grilling is notoriously known for leaving even the strongest of contestants left standing in tears.
But it was tears of laughter in this year's episode, as fans of the show were left taken aback at Karen Brady's sharp remark to Megan Hornby which left her stunned.
As the cocktail bar and candy shop owner stood up from the grilling of her "useless" business plan, she thanked "Karen" for her time, but the 53-year-old business executive was less than impressed at the informal gesture, despite encouraging all the contestants to call her by her first name throughout the show.
"It's Baroness Brady to you, my friends call me Karen," she said bluntly as Megan walked out the door.
And it didn't stop there as hair extensions business owner Dani also completely put her foot in it and got in 'Karen's' bad books, despite going in after Megan and being warned not to address her by her first name.
"Thanks Karen.... sorry Barronness Brady," quipped Dani as she awkwardly stood up from her chair as the vice-chairman of West Ham United F.C. threw her a disapproving look.
Fans took to Twitter as they couldn't quite believe how rude Lord Sugar's right-hand woman had been, but thought the moment made for some serious TV gold.
Although some fans were left confused with the leading businesswoman previously allowing fans happily to call her Karen throughout the show.
"This was such a weird pivot because they call her Karren throughout the whole process? In fact, I remember when she became a Baroness she made a point of saying “call me Karren” that year on the show? #TheApprentice," said one person.
Another wrote on Twitter: "Surely if they call him Lord Sugar then they would call her Lady Brady? it’s inconsistent!!"
Someone else penned: "BARONESS Karen Brady is taking no prisoners with these interviews. She just wanted to ruffle some feathers #theapprentice," as they shared a series of laughing faces.
The Apprentice final episode will air on Thursday, March 23 at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
