Chelsea reportedly have an interest in Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha which could have an impact on the future of Newcastle United-linked Callum Hudson-Odoi. That is according to 90min.com, who claim that the Blues are considering a move for Zaha ahead of the close of the window.
Hudson-Odoi has already expressed his desire to leave Stamford Bridge this summer as he searches for regular game time and Newcastle are among the teams interested. But Palace could have an advantage in the race if Chelsea decide to firm up their interest in Zaha.
Competition is high for the signature of the 21-year-old with Borussia Dortmund, West Ham, Southampton, Leicester City and Everton all also keen. Newcastle are in the market for attacking reinforcements this summer and Hudson-Odoi would fit the bill of someone who can fill that right-wing role Eddie Howe is desiring.

And while the Magpies would be able to offer Hudson-Odoi the regular football he is desiring, Palace may currently be the front runners should other transfers materialise. Chelsea remain very active in the transfer window and many would consider them short of real quality attacking options.
Should they pursue a move for Zaha, he would provide Chelsea with a proven Premier League option at the front end of the pitch. That said, he would also push Hudson-Odoi even further down the pecking order and Palace could use that to their benefit if the two clubs begin negotiations over a deal.
