The £895,000 luxury holiday homes being built for the super-rich on the Welsh coast

This is the first look at a luxurious new development being built at a "coveted beachside address" that will include the UK's first hydro swim spa pool in a holiday home and homes for £895,000.. Two of the four luxury lodges have been influenced by Singapore’s famous Raffles Hotel, while the other two others are influenced by Mombasa’s coastal resorts in Kenya.

Holiday company Haulfryn has begun taking expressions of interest for the Headland View units at The Warren Resort and Spa, its beach club resort at Abersoch on the Llŷn Peninsula. NorthWalesLive has reported that the operator said: “With this new development, Haulfryn aims to provide owners with a new level of luxury and convenience."

Each will have “vast” gardens with dining and lounging areas. The three and four-bedroom lodges will have open-plan living spaces and high-tech appliances. The most expensive will have its own “hydro swim spa pool”, which Haulfryn said is a first for a holiday home on any UK resort.

When seeking planning consent for the lodges, Haulfryn said it hoped the development will "help to minimise local residential properties being purchased as second homes". By removing holiday caravans and white UPVC fencing, the company is aiming for a "long-term visual improvement" at the Warren.

The largest of the holiday homes will have 1,430 sq ft of floor space – more than the average UK bungalow (828 sq ft) and almost as much as a typical four-bedroom house (1,582 sq ft). Haulfryn said this four-bedroom property is inspired by the Raffles Hotel, a five-star luxury hotel in Singapore renowned for its opulence and elegance.

As well as boasting a spa pool, 3 Headland View will have a large outdoor decked garden space accessed via bi-fold doors. “The outside space is extra special,” said Haulfryn.

“Not only can you wake up and have a swim before breakfast, you can also make the most of the outside kitchen, dining and entertaining space, whether that’s light bites at lunch or dinner and drinks at dusk.” The lodge, called Aspire Arcadia, costs £895,000.

Two Aspire Mombasa lodges are identical - 1 and 4 Headland View. These have three bedrooms but can accommodate eight people, and will each set you back £785,000.

Both have a split roof and dormer windows to ensure plenty of light. Haulfryn said: “Inspired by Mombasa, these carefully curated vibrant lodges are full of warm, rich colours, with jewel tones meeting dark woods and flashes of gold to bring style, splendour, warmth and comfort together.”

Cheapest, at £775,000, is Aspire Eivissa at 2 Headland View. This is a three-bedroom lodge, sleeping six, that offers “contemporary luxe meets calm retreat”. All four lodges will have solar panels and air source heat pumps, in tune with Haulfryn’s efforts to improve the resort’s sustainability.

Chris Gardner, operations development director, said: “In line with our focus on the premium-owner market, bringing this state-of-the-art collection of homes to The Warren, enhances the resort’s existing offering and elevates the experience for owners. With this new development, we aim to bring holiday homeowners a new level of luxury.”

Lodge owners will have access to The Warren’s facilities, including a gym, tennis courts, golf simulator and hydrotherapy pool. For children, there’s a skate park, climbing wall and gaming zones.

This summer, the resort is opening a new clubhouse which includes a section for sports matches. Events held on-site include wine tasting and “puppy yoga”.
