We finally have our first official look at Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced ahead of its release on July 9, 2026, and it promises to be one very big swashbuckling reunion with Edward Kenway. Entirely rebuilt on Ubisoft's latest Anvil Engine, Ubisoft is setting out to deliver a "faithful remake" that will continue to be a "solo adventure and character-driven experience", with game director Richard Knight stressing "it is not an RPG".
But we can also expect to set sail with some exciting new content and changes that aim to improve the original 2013 experience. Alongside a visual overhaul with high resolution textures, enhanced lighting, and a new dynamic weather system that will make the Caribbean setting feel more alive, here are the five biggest changes that will be introduced in the Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced remake.
