The 5 best 2023 NFL prime-time games, including a Super Bowl 57 rematch

While some of the prime-time games on this year’s 2023 NFL schedule don’t look all that appealing, these five games will get you amped.

As we look at the best games on the fall’s NFL schedule that take place after dinner, a Super Bowl 57 rematch and a possible AFC title game preview are in the works.

There are plenty of exciting games on the prime-time slate this year, but these five games caught our eye.

Also, if you’re wondering where the New Year’s Eve battle between the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals is, it’s an afternoon game. We’re going for nighttime prime time here!

Week 4: Seattle Seahawks vs. New York Giants, Monday Night Football

One of the most intriguing Monday night games this year will find two of the teams who could set themselves apart in a wide-open NFC.

The Seattle Seahawks and New York Giants will square off, two teams that outperformed expectations in 2022 and could be playoff contenders in 2023.

A year ago, a quarterback duel between Geno Smith and Daniel Jones wouldn’t have seemed interesting. It’s now a battle of two of the NFC’s better signal callers.

Week 5: Dallas Cowboys vs. San Francisco 49ers, Sunday Night Football

Another battle of two NFC heavyweights will wait for NFL fans on an early Sunday night in October.

This Week 5 battle between the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night will pit two of the NFL’s best rosters against each other in prime-time.

While we’re not entirely sure who will be playing quarterback for the 49ers, we do know that the San Francisco defense going against the Dallas offense should be a really good time.

Week 9: Buffalo Bills vs. Cincinnati Bengals, Sunday Night Football

A midseason treat will come in the form of two Super Bowl contenders clashing on Sunday Night Football.

The Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Bills squaring off in prime time will give us a great idea at the halfway mark as to which team is best positioned for a run in the AFC.

Joe Burrow going against Josh Allen is good enough for the price of admission, but those two defenses really can present problems, too.

Could this be an early glimpse at the AFC title game?

Week 11: Cincinnati Bengals vs. Baltimore Ravens, Thursday Night Football

This year’s best Thursday night game comes with the Cincinnati facing off against an AFC North rival in the Baltimore Ravens.

Now that Lamar Jackson is locked in as Baltimore’s quarterback, it should be a heck of a way to spend a Thursday to see them face off for a crucial division win.

Can Baltimore’s vaunted defense slow down Burrow and the lethal Bengals passing attack? It’ll be an exciting way to start Week 11 in the NFL.

Week 11: Philadelphia Eagles vs. Kansas City Chiefs, Monday Night Football

What more can you say?

This hotly anticipated matchup will find the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles facing off for a Super Bowl 57 rematch.

Getting to watch Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts square off again in prime time is about as good as it gets in today’s NFL. It’ll also be really fun to watch the revamped Philadelphia defense in action and to have another battle of the Kelce brothers.

If you’re an NFL fan, you’ve had this game circled on your calendar since it got announced earlier this week.
