The Fast & Furious franchise, also officially known as the Fast Saga, is one of the biggest Hollywood franchises in history with nearly a dozen sequels and billions of dollars grossed at the box office. Surely, for such a storied franchise, these movies have to have a few iconic moments of its own. But what moments from the Fast & Furious franchise are actually deserving of iconic status?
With its origins rooted in a 1998 article for Vibe magazine (titled "Racer X"), the franchise began with The Fast & the Furious, directed by Rob Cohen and released in 2001. Essentially a street racing-flavored spin on the Keanu Reeves/Patrick Swayze blockbuster Point Break, the first movie told of an undercover cop Brian O'Connor (Paul Walker) who infiltrates a notorious street racing gang led by their charismatic and principled leader Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel).
