The 1975 singer Matt Healy has left fans feeling uncomfortable after appearing to check a woman's age on her ID before snogging her at a gig.
Matt, 33, has quickly gone viral after a video emerged of him kissing a fan during a concert in Las Vegas.
Matt - the son of Loose Women star Denise Welch - spots a female fan in the crowd holding a sign asking for him to be her "first kiss".
"You better not be f***ing 16," he tells her as the woman shouts to tell him she has ID proving that she's 22 years old.
He appears to check the woman's ID and bites down on the laminated card in what looks like a check to make sure it's real.
After being satisfied with the ID, Matt jumps off the stage and lunges at the red-haired woman.
"Are you ready? Are you ready for your first kiss?" he asks her, grabbing her face.
He then gives her a full snog as surrounding fans scream in delight.
A fan posted the video online with the caption: "This is so sweet pls".
Fans were divided over the snog - with some thrilled for the fan and others saying Matt was "creepy".
One fan commented: "Imagine getting to say you kissed Matty Healy. You win at life girl."
Another added: "His little smirk and the “yeah 100 percent” … he was totally into you girl."
But not everyone was convinced and several commenters said it was "creepy".
One TikTok user commented:"That is the most unsettling thing I’ve ever seen".
Another wrote: "There’s something just a little creepy about this."
A third added: "If by sweet you mean creepy then yes I agree."
Over on Twitter, social media users ruthlessly mocked Matt as the video gained traction on the platform.
One Twitter user in the festive spirit joked: "He's got your ID, He's checking it twice, Gonna find out if he's legally allowed to kiss you, Matty Healy is coming to town."
"matty healy is so desperate for the world to see him as an edgy rockstar but he’ll always just be the son of denise welch from loose women," an unimpressed commentator added to the discourse on Twitter.
Matt was in a relationship with FKA Twigs until earlier this year.
It was revealed that busy work schedules had put a nail in the coffin of Twigs and Matt’s relationship.
A source said at the time: “Sadly things haven’t worked out. Those around them thought this was going to be it but it hasn’t been the case.
“There was no massive row or fallout. When lockdown ended they both found themselves pulled in different directions with work commitments.
“The whole thing is still very raw and naturally she is upset but she’s got her friends around her who are supporting her.
