The 1975's frontman, Matty Healy, and model Gabbriette Bechtel are set to tie the knot, as confirmed by Healy's mother, Denise Welch, a well-known English actor and regular panelist on the popular ITV talk show “Loose Women.” Welch shared the exciting news on the show, revealing that she had been aware of the engagement for a few weeks before the couple made it public on Instagram.
The announcement came after Bechtel posted an Instagram story showcasing a striking black gem ring on her left ring finger, with a caption that read, “Marrying The 1975 is very Brat,” tagging Healy's account. The reference to Charli XCX's latest album, “BRAT,” was not lost on fans, as Healy and Bechtel were spotted at Charli XCX's show in New York the same night. The connection was further highlighted by the fact that Charli XCX is engaged to The 1975's George Daniel.
Welch expressed her joy at the engagement, mentioning that Healy had a black diamond ring specially made for Bechtel. She shared her excitement, stating, “He's got engaged to Gabriella Bechtel — Gabbriette, she's known as. And (the) black diamond, he had it made for her. And we are, I couldn't be more thrilled.”
While representatives for Healy and Bechtel have not yet responded to requests for comments, fans and well-wishers are eagerly awaiting further details about the upcoming nuptials of the talented musician and his model fiancée.
