It’s been a big year in the name of fashion. We’ve seen the return of faux fur, suede, thongs and polka dots, and IDK if it’s just my feed, but I feel like people have really upped their game in the fashion department. So when my editor got me across a report on the trendiest items of 2025 by The Lyst Index, I was intrigued.
The Lyst Index is a quarterly report on the trendiest brands and products its 160 million shoppers are purchasing and searching for both on and off the platform. It also includes social media mentions, metrics, activity and engagement statistics worldwide to track brand or product traction.
The top 10 trendiest brands for 2025 according to the Lyst index include:
- Saint Laurent
- Miu Miu
- Cos
- The Row
- Coach
- Prada
- Bottega Veneta
- Loewe
- Ralph Lauren
- Chloé
It’s a bougie index, I know.
However, just because a brand is considered the hottest of the moment, doesn’t mean its products are gracing the ‘trendiest products’ index. Lyst’s hottest products actually had some affordable items for those of us who can’t casually drop thousands of dollars on a single item in their wardrobe.

1. Havianas Top Thongs
Thongs are well and truly back, and I’m pleasantly surprised to report that Havianas Top Thongs took the top spot on the Lyst Index — especially when almost all the hottest brands are high end designers.

Preppy fashion is soooo back, and the demand for Saint Laurent’s Le Loafer is proof. These paired with a wide leg trouser would be very corporate-chic.

3. Cos Chunky Cashmere Sweater
I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that we’re heading into summer, so you won’t be able to get much wear out of Cos’ Chunky Cashmere Sweater until next winter. The good news is that it’s not in stock in Australia, so you can’t even get your hands on it anyway! Regardless, we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for a restock.

7. Nike x Jacquemus Moon Shoe
Low-profile sneakers have been dominating over the past few years, and Nike’s collaboration with Jacquemus to recreate the Moon Shoe is keeping the ball rolling. The collaboration is sold out and is only available on Stock X at the moment, but Nike has come out with an almost identical (and cheaper) pair.

8. Nike Shox TL Sneakers
Nike made a double appearance on The Lyst Index! The Shox TL Sneakers landed themselves at number seven on the hottest items of 2025. IDK about you, but whenever I go to gigs, they’re practically the only footwear I see.

Hmmm, I wonder why this dress from Polo Ralph Lauren made the Lyst Index? Taylor Swift sent the dress beyond viral when she got engaged in it, so naturally, it’s sold out absolutely everywhere.
