The 19-year-old racked up the most passes into the final third, most shots and most successful duels on the pitch in an all-action midfield display.
The clash was the final opportunity for Southgate to assess key players before naming his 26-man squad for the World Cup in Qatar later this year, and while many already know about Bellingham’s technical ability, the Three Lions boss picked out an immeasurable quality that Reds fans will love to learn of.
