In a video that has been circulating on social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter), Crockett is seen explaining that the Democrats do not hold a majority in the Senate. Thus, it is entirely the Republicans’ responsibility to make important decisions, including those necessary to keep the government operational. Crockett suggests that if the Republicans find themselves needing votes from Democrats, it will be their duty to reach out to them, just as Joe Biden did during his presidency, which ensured that the government never faced a shutdown during his term.
