Experts from Silpakorn University have shared knowledge and techniques in the creation of ceramic sculpture at a workshop in Bhutan.
Assoc Prof Prasopchai Pasunon, vice president for research and enterprise at Silpakorn University, led a delegation of lecturers to Bhutan on July 10 to organise a workshop for participants in the De-suung Skilling Programme, which was initiated by the King of Bhutan.
During the workshop in Thimphu, Silpakorn lecturers shared knowledge and techniques in use of Bhutan clay, ceramics and clay sculpture. The session was a part of the Bhutan Clay Research-Ceramic Sculpture Exhibition held at Chang Yul Park.
The Thai delegation presented a set of ceramic sculptures for exhibition at Chang Yul park. The sculptures included Thai clay content, signifying the strong ties and sharing of knowledge between the two kingdoms.
Silpakorn is a public university known for its expertise in the fields of fine arts, design and archaeology.
