Thai police have stepped up action against suspected prostitution in Pattaya as around 5,000 US sailors and Marines arrive in Thailand, with the USS Abraham Lincoln now docked at nearby Laem Chabang after more than 200 days at sea.
The visit has prompted additional police patrols in the resort city's beachfront and nightlife areas while local businesses hope the influx will provide a much-needed boost to spending.
