What’s the cost of landing arguably the top recruit in the Class of 2023?
If you are the University of Texas, the bill run up during Arch Manning’s official visit — along with 8 other recruits — was a tidy, $280,000.
The Athletic obtained public records and they disclosed how much the Longhorns spent in what turned out to be a successful pursuit of the senior quarterback from Newman in Louisiana.
We FOIA'd receipts and itineraries to see what it was like when Texas hosted Arch Manning and 8 others on an official visit.
From a 5-star hotel, to an upscale steakhouse, to a cruise on the lake, the Longhorns rolled out the red carpet.

- The Longhorns cleared $65,000 before the recruits stepped foot on campus.
- On Saturday night, the group splurged at III Forks, an upscale steakhouse ,,, after fees and a $6,000 tip, the bill was $36,900.
