A Texas Roadhouse customer filming under the name Whiskey and Violence Golf said the suggested tip on a tabletop tablet did not match the percentage on the screen. In a TikTok video posted by @whiskeyandviolence, the camera first showed a small white bowl of cooked mushrooms on a saucer, with a wine list card behind it advertising white and red wines under a “TEXAS POUR” heading.
The camera then panned to a Ziosk payment terminal. The screen displayed a check amount of $66.66, with tip options of 15%, 18%, 20%, and 25%. The 20% option appeared selected in blue, with a calculated tip of $16.28 and a total of $82.94. The post’s caption read, “What’s up Texas Roadhouse?”
