One of the college season’s unexpected breakout stars is taking his talents to the NFL. Texas Longhorns running back Jonathon Brooks emerged from the shadow of Bijan Robinson and Roschon Johnson with over 1,400 yards from scrimmage.
Initially reported by Horns 247, Brooks confirmed that he is leaving the Longhorns and entering the draft.
It’s a gamble for Brooks, who tore his ACL in Texas’ win over TCU on November 11th. The timeline for his return extends well past the draft and perhaps deep into his rookie season. His draft stock is tough to ascertain between the limited usage and the injury.
