Texas A&M Officials Met Sunday, Made Decision on Jimbo Fisher’s Future, per Report

Texas A&M is expected to inform coach Jimbo Fisher that he is being fired Sunday, according to Ross Dellenger of Yahoo Sports. Billy Liucci of TexAggs.com was the first to report the news. ESPN also confirmed the report.

Associate head coach and co-defensive coordinator Elijah Robinson will serve as interim coach, per ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

Fisher currently has eight years and $75 million left on his contract, prompting a massive buyout after his 6–4 start to the season. Texas A&M board of regents met in a more than four-hour executive session on Thursday in which they dedicated a large amount of time discussing the future of coach Jimbo Fisher and now a decision appears to have been made.
