In ’17, Klein returned to KSU to become the Wildcats’ quarterbacks coach before going on to add offensive coordinator duties within the last two seasons in Manhattan, Kansas. Klein joins the Aggies’ staff after he emerged as one of the top offensive coordinators on the market and drew interest from Notre Dame in ’22, according to ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg.

As KSU’s quarterback, Klein threw for 4,724 yards, 30 touchdowns and 15 interceptions while completing 61.3% of his passes. He also rushed for 2,485 yards and 56 touchdowns.

Texas A&M hired Elko from Duke on Nov. 27 to replace former Aggies coach Jimbo Fisher.
