The Houston Texans released their penultimate injury report ahead of their Week 8 matchup against the Tennessee Titans, and a few changes from yesterday’s announcement could play a factor in their fortunes on Sunday.
Offensive lineman A.J. Cann was listed as a non-participant in Thursday’s practice session due to an illness, while the other two players who were not involved, receiver Nico Collins and defensive lineman Maliek Collins, were listed with the same status on Wednesday.
Rookie offensive lineman Kenyon Green was elevated from limited participation to full participation, while guard Justin McCray was still relegated to a limited designation.
Veterans Brandin Cooks and Jerry Hughes, who were given a non-injury-related status for rest were also full participants in Thursday’s practice, and are considered fully healthy despite their inclusion in Wednesday’s report.
This relatively modest injury report pales in comparison to the Titans’, which had no less than 13 players listed. Though seven were designated as full participants, Houston should be considered to be more healthy than Tennessee heading into this matchup, which could come to impact the outcome of the game.
