Houston Texans running back Dameon Pierce took home the NFL’s “Angriest Run of the Year” at the NFL Honors Thursday night at Symphony Hall in Phoenix, Arizona.
Pierce barreled his way on a 20-yard run with 5:02 to go in the fourth quarter against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Oct. 9, 2022 at TIAA Bank Field. The fourth-rounder from Florida broke eight tackles along the way and setup Houston with a favorable first-and-goal inside the 3-yard line.
Pierce capped off the drive with a 1-yard touchdown run, and the Texans beat the Jaguars 13-6. The rookie had 26 carries for 99 yards and a touchdown while catching three passes for 14 yards in the victory.
