The Houston Texans will have a new element to their Battle Red jerseys with the new Battle Red helmets, which they broke out during training camp. The Texans are willing to make changes in 2022 to infuse excitement where able.
However, the Texans are going to go with traditional garb against the New Orleans Saints in their preseason opener Aug. 13 at NRG Stadium. The Texans will wear their deep steel blue helmets, jerseys, white pants, and deep steel blue socks.
The theme for the Saints game is “The State of Football” as the Texans celebrate football at all levels in Texas. Halftime will feature a matchup between two teams from Legacy The School of Sport Sciences girls flag football teams with former Texans Travis Johnson and Fred Weary leading the teams.
