Tess Daly has made an exciting career announcement to her fans, sharing that she is in the process of writing another book. The presenter posted the news via Instagram, shortly after the line-up of professional dancers for the next series of Strictly Come Dancing was revealed.
The presenter, 53, is expected to return to co-host the BBC show alongside Claudia Winkleman, 50 - though she has teased that she has another project in the pipeline as well. She hinted at what we can expect from her next book to her 802,000 followers on the social media platform, as part of the announcement about the upcoming project.
It's not the first time that Tess has ventured into being an author, with her having released two novels and a parenting diary in the past. However, the new project will be different, the Mirror reports.
"Well this is an exciting day because I'm happy to announce I'm working on a book," Tess wrote. "Sometimes our lives can get so busy we forget to invest in ourselves."
She further commented that sometimes people forget to spend time focusing on their own health and well-being, so the presenter "wanted to channel that" into her new book. Tess said that it will include "simple steps" she has learnt over the years that she said can have "such a positive effect on how we feel." She teased "more exciting news" soon.
Fans were thrilled by the announcement, with one writing: "Hurry up and finish it please. You radiate all the good stuff so can't wait to hoover your hints and tips up."
Another said: "Congratulations. When it comes out it will be straight in my basket." Whilst a third wrote: "Love your positivity with everything so can't wait to hear about the book."
The announcement about the project came shortly after the news over which professional dancers are returning to Strictly for its upcoming series later this year. Those returning include fan favourites such as Giovanni Pernice and Johannes Radebe. Others who will be back include Amy Dowden, Kai Widdrington and Dianne Buswell.
It was previously confirmed that long-time participants Aljaž Škorjanec and Oti Mabuse had decided to quit the show this year, with them not returning.
