Tesco customers have been saving £10 on their weekly shop using a handy trick that takes just minutes to do. It comes as shoppers are looking for more ways to save money as the cost of living crisis squeezes.
In fact, reports have said a number of shoppers have asked cashiers to stop scanning products when they reach a spending limit, according to supermarket bosses.
But there are ways consumers can save money on their supermarket shopping, Liverpool Echo reports, including using sites that will give you money back when shopping for things you would normally buy.

The deals website TopCashback, which gives customers money back for purchasing offers through them, is offering money-back deals for those who shop at Tesco. It means shoppers can save up to £10 on their next shop at Tesco by using the deals site.
New customers who buy a Tesco shop online and opt for click and collect in store can get £10 cash back. Those who choose to go for this deal need to have a minimum basket threshold of £35. New customers can also get £5 cash back on a Tesco online shop when opting for a home delivery slot, as long as their basket threshold is £75.
There are a range of other cash back offers too at Tesco through TopCashback, including 10% cash back on toys and games online, or 10% cashback on Tesco's 'Free From' range online via click and collect, or home delivery. Shoppers who purchase homeware, cookware and dining products via Tesco's click and collect and home delivery through TopCashback can also get 5% cash back too. Baby and toddler products also qualify.
To get any of the above deals you'll need to firstly register for a free TopCashback account here. Then you'll need to select the deal you want via this page. Once you've selected your deal, TopCashback will then transfer you to the Tesco website for you to make your purchase. Purchases are then tracked and your cash back will appear within your TopCashback account within 10 working days.
However, TopCashback has said that in the instance that a customer is not a true "new customer", for example, they create a new email address but have previously shopped, the cashback will not be awarded as it only applies to the 'New Customers – Click+Collect' groceries offer. Cashback is also not applicable for alcoholic purchases.
