Sales of blankets and air fryers have soared in recent months, according to the BBC.
It comes amid the cost of living crisis which is seeing bills soar across the UK with the likes of shopping and petrol just some of the essentials increasing.
But in addition to this, energy bills are also on the rise with people trying to save as many pennies as possible.

Because of this, people are taking to social media to share what bargains they come across with many snapping pictures of some Ninja air fryer dupes for those unable to afford an expensive kitchen gadget.
The highly sought after gadgets are said to cost just 30p per hour which compares to £1.02 which would cost to run an oven per hour meaning in the long run, you could be saving a fair bit by switching to an air fryer.
However whilst Ninja have proven to be one of the most popular models of air fryers on the market right now, there are other cheaper alternatives that shoppers are loving, with Tesco being one of the latest.
The supermarket chain's Go Cook 4L Air Fryer went viral on Facebook recently after one shopper shared it for those who are still currently waiting to get their hands on the in-demand Ninja versions.
Priced at just £58, the supermarket's air fryer is a considerably cheaper option compared to the price you'd pay for a Ninja costing upwards of £100.
Sold as part of Tesco's exclusive Go Cook homeware range, the affordable kitchen appliance comes complete with a detachable frying basket, digital timer temperature control up to 200C and an automatic overheat protection shut-off.
Sharing the bargain to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Group, the shopper wrote: "Tesco £58 bargain for anyone waiting on ninjas ! The chicken was 1.5kg just for size example xxx."
People were quick to flood to the comment section as they too were looking for an air fryer that they could afford. And many praised the air fryer pictured.
One said: ""I got this. Best thing I’ve ever bought. Not used my oven since I got this."
Another said: "I know it’s not a ninja but still a bargain!"
"I got this one and it's brilliant", raved a third.
And, if the rave reviews and savings you could make weren't enough to tempt you, then many shoppers were helpful enough to share that it is currently on offer for just £50 for Clubcard members.
Tesco's Go Cook Air Fryer is only available in-stores and can be purchased here. Stock may vary in each store, so check with your local store for availability.
