Tesco shopper 'shocked' after finding oranges are not vegan

A shopper was left "shocked" after discovering that several items of fruit she was trying to buy weren't vegan. She was looking for oranges, mandarins and satsumas - but discovered all were labelled as 'non-vegan'.

Tweeting her disbelief, she said: “I am shocked to find out that the oranges I was trying to buy all day are not vegan. Pfft.” The woman tried Tesco for the oranges but found out via the store's website that website ‘Tesco Finest Emperor Oranges 4 Pack’ are labelled as non-vegan items.

Such fruits were also being sold elsewhere, including M&S and Morrisons. And, while of course fruit is vegan by nature, it's now been explained as to why the products are labelled as not being suitable for those on a plant-based diet, reports MyLondon.
