A Tesco customer has claimed they scanned £500-worth of food for £100 after a glitch at the self-checkout. Other shoppers found their totals were in the minus sum due to the same error when they went to pay for their shop.
While some shoppers were delighted by the glitch, others have been left furious after the glitch was shared on a popular Facebook group. One Tesco shopper ended up with a total of -£150.75 on just seven items and claimed that they were able to check out despite this clearly inaccurate sum, reported Birmingham Live.
The shopper noticed the promotions were randomly adding to certain products. In the post, the customer said: “I didn’t think it would work - I was sure it would autocorrect at checkout. Massive glitch on self serve."
