Tesco set to scrap hundreds of jobs as it axes deli and hot food counters in stores

Hundreds of Tesco jobs could be lost after it was confirmed the supermarket giant will axe hot food and deli counters, as well as its Jack's supermarket chain.

Employees were told about the decision during a Zoom call earlier today.

The supermarket chain is set to ditch its discount store Jack's, which was launched in 2018, putting 130 jobs in head office at risk.
