Tesco Mobile has become the latest UK network provider to announce upcoming price changes this April, meaning customers will pay a lot more for their monthly contracts. As prices are set to rise on a handful of its bundles, shoppers can save money on its pay-as-you-go deals that aren't subject to price increases.
Its pay-as-you-go SIM deals include 50GB of data for just £15, which is one of the cheapest tariffs on the market so far - the same price would only get shoppers 20GB of data at its partner provider, O2.
The 50GB data deal is for shoppers with a Clubcard, which is free to sign up to, and gives shoppers a £5 saving, those taking out the 50GB deal with a Clubcard will pay the same price as its current 25GB data deal. It's the latest offer for Tesco shoppers, and a loophole that means shoppers can avoid the upcoming 14% price rise.

Tesco Mobile customers with current monthly contracts will see a 14% rise in their current tarriff price. This would take its current 100GB deal for £17.50 up to £19.95 a month, the unlimited £25 a month deal up to £28.50 each month, and its unlimited data contract (for 12 months) would rise from the current £30 a month to £34.20.
Tesco's pay-as-you-go customers would not face any additional changes as the set out prices (for instance the 50GB for £15 deal) as shoppers aren't limited to a contract. Shoppers aren't tied to paying a certain amount each month and instead upload the exact money for the amount of data used.
Other offers in its pay-as-you-go deals include 10GB of data for £10 per month, 25GB for £15 per month and 100GB of data for £30 per month.
Shoppers with Tesco Clubcards will make the biggest saving and the offer extends onto its current range of handsets too. Shoppers can save £180 on the newest iPhone 14 with a Clubcard, reducing the price from £42.99 per month to £37.99 a month.
Even though device plans are subject to the 14% increase, Clubcard shoppers will avoid a 14% price rise if they take the deal out before April 1. Not only is the plan on offer for Clubcard holders but shoppers will avoid an additonal £6 a month in increased tariffs.
Tesco Mobile joins other UK providers including Sky Mobile and EE who have outlined price increases for customers this spring, as networks struggle to cover rising operational costs.
