It's time to check your cupboards again after safety warnings were issued about food from supermarkets.
Tesco, Lidl and Aldi have recalled a number of items in recent weeks, with customers urged not to eat and drink them but instead return them to the store for a full refund. You do not need to have your receipt to get your money back.
When a product is recalled, for any reason, the Food Safety Agency (FSA) shares details on what you should do if you have bought the item, as well as detailed information on why the product is being pulled from shelves.

Tesco
Nestlé is recalling all date codes of AERO Hot Chocolate jars 288g, as they may contain small (2mm–3mm) food-grade silica beads.
However, these aren’t harmful if consumed.

If you’ve bought an affected product, please don’t use it. Instead, dispose of the contents andsend the lid of the jar with your name and address for a full refund to: AERO Hot Chocolate recall, PO Box 205, Freepost 1374, York, YO91 1XB.
Alternatively, return it to a Tesco store for a refund. No receipt is required.

Lidl
Lidl GB is recalling Simply Grated Cheddar because it may contain small pieces of plastic. The possible presence of plastic makes this product unsafe to eat.

Aldi
Aldi is recalling Gianni's Milk Chocolate Lollies because they may contain almonds (nuts) which is not mentioned on the label. As a result of a packaging error, some packs have been incorrectly packed with Gianni's Almond Lollies.
This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to almonds (nuts). This issue only affects products sold at a limited number of Aldi stores in the Midlands.
