Tesco: How to bag a free kids meal with just a 60p spend

As children across the city and county break up for the summer holiday's many parents and careers will be considering the cost of providing an extra meal at home. Help could be on hand for anyone living close to one of the city or county's Tesco stores that has a cafe.

From Monday, July 25, until Friday, August 26, 2022, the supermarket giant will be offering free kids’ meals to Clubcard holders with any item purchased. That means parents or carers could spend 60p on a piece of fresh fruit and claim one free hot or cold kids meal worth up to £3.25.

Alessandra Bellini, chief customer officer at Tesco said: “Kids Eat Free is just one of the ways we’re helping our customers to spend less at Tesco. We know that costs can add up over the school holidays, so offering free meals to children with any item purchased at our cafés for an adult, is one of the ways we are supporting parents during this time.”

Tesco, which has stores with cafes including Beeston, Bulwell and Top Valley, is also supporting families in the community through its partnership with Fareshare and the Trussell Trust. The supermarket donates long-life food and surplus food to charities and community groups, including The Trussell Trust foodbanks. Families, people can use food sharing app, OLIO, to find free food that has been donated by Tesco.
