Tesco creates new hybrid for Easter - Hot Cross Scones

Hot cross bun fans are in for a treat this Easter, with the announcement that Tesco will be releasing its most innovative range of buns to date, including a new hybrid variation – Hot Cross Scones.

A UK supermarket first, the Easter treat combines the spices found in hot cross buns, with the crumbly texture of a traditional scone. Available in store and online now, each pack of two costs £1.

Made with Cornish buttermilk and Cornish clotted cream, with a citrus flavour and currants throughout, this new twist on the classic Easter staple is one of 10 variations featuring in this year’s range of Tesco hot cross bun inspired products, featuring new and returning favourites.
