The popular Tesco lunchtime meal deal is set to change after being priced at £3 for the past ten years.
It’s become a lunchtime staple across the UK, with a meal, snack and drink combination that’s cheaper than both Sainsbury’s and the Co-op.
Tesco has now confirmed its lunchtime meal deal will cost £3.50 instead of £3.

The cost will rise to £3.50 for those who haven’t signed up to the supermarket’s loyalty card. Tesco Club Card holders will be immune to the price hike and will also be able to earn points when purchasing a meal deal.
Shoppers who opt for the lunchtime deal will also be able to get a regular Costa hot drink which has been added to more than 2,000 Tesco stores.
Available for the next 12 weeks, the drinks range in price from £1.75 – £2.85 when bought independently of the meal deal.
Many disappointed shoppers took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the new price change.
One shopper said: "I knew this day would happen. The next best meal deals is now Boots meal deals."
Another added: "Is this some sort of joke!?"
The new price will be coming into force from Monday, February 28.
